Well, This is my first entry in my blog. I woke up this morning to 7 inches of snow. I like snow for Christmas then after that it can all go away & stay away.

I have a little Chihauhau named Jack. He is my little sweatheart. Always faithful & loving to me. I don't think anything can take the place of the love and devotion a pet gives you. They don't ask for much but they are always trying to please you. Jack loves to cuddle. If I'm sitting on the couch he has to be right next to me or on top of me. The only time he isn't with me is if the sun is out. He is a sun worshipper. Where ever the sun is shining he will go, even if he can only get his nose in the sun.

I know my blog is called Moniques xstitching & hobbies. Kinda makes it look like xstitching is my favorite hobby. Well my first love was woodworking. I even had a small woodworking business. I did scrollsaw work. Built furniture and sold items at craft shows. 3 years ago I injured my back and I haven't recovered from it. So I cannot do woodworking any longer. Too much standing & lifting. If you looked at my profile you would have seen that I also crochet. I took up crocheting when I was a young child. i used to crochet baby sweaters, throw afghans & gueen size afghans for bedspreads. I now only crochet afghans. I have 2 in the works now. I'm just learning how to oil paint. I have completed 5 paintngs. I took up cross stitching 1 1/2 years ago. My first project I completed was a large one. I have completed 2 smaller projects. I now have a large project I'm working on.
